What’s up Digi-Destined? We’re back at it again for another amazing set of Digimon, and this time we’re diving deep into the intriguing BT-17: Secret Crisis. This set brings a new wave of excitement and strategy to the game, so grab your deck and let’s battle, while we go over some of the new additions to the card game.
Parallel Rares:
BT-17 introduces some stunning Parallel Rares that are sure to catch your eye. The artwork on these cards is phenomenal, those of you that love gold and greymon will be eating good this set. Whether you’re a collector or a competitive player, these Parallel Rares are a must-have for any Digimon enthusiast.
Promo Cards:
Leomon
Leomon returns with a new promo card that highlights fixes a lot of her early game problems. When he comes to the field either through play or digivolving, 1 of your opponent’s Digimon gets – 3000dp for the turn, slowing down most early game decks. While it has Leomon or X-Antibody it gains blocker and Fortitude, allowing it to come back on field should it be removed any other way than bounced. It even has some nice recovery options as inherit, so this should bring Leomon decks some much needed support since EX – 05.
MameTyranomon
MameTyranomon’s promo card brings versatility options to black / green decks, providing a pretty powerful collision unsuspend allowing you to attack twice a turn. While I haven’t personally found a list that would suit this card, I personally think it’s flying under the radar as a tech option.
MegaKabuterimon
Tyrant kabuterimon was an extremely oppressive deck from BT – 16 topping out around mid-tier 1, but despite this, he was overall struggling to finish out most games if his stack didn’t have piercing. This new tech allows you to trash top security when you survive a battle in inherit. You’d think that’s powerful on its own, but it’s true power comes from built in evade, you can leave it unsuspended so that should it get deleted, you can suspend it and then make it immune to Digimon effects, allowing you to bypass options and safely build into your Tyrant or Hercules.
Three Decks I Am Playing:
Argomon
Check out the Decklist:
Argomon is a deck for those of you that like reading the name of one card repeatedly! This deck’s main strength is tamer hate which should be extremely relevant moving past BT 18 – 19, with hybrids coming back into power. Argomon pulls it’s pieces from trash to blow up the board, for every 2 Argomon tucked underneath itself, it’s going to get bigger and delete more Digimon.
DexDorogoromon
Check out the Decklist:
DexDorogoromon’s deck focuses on control and disruption. From trash, this card is an absolute powerhouse, should some of the more pesky removal in the game try to trash your Dorugoramon, you can digivolve into it to prevent deletion, and when it comes to the board it de-digivolves 3 and deleted all levels level digimon! BUT THAT’S NOT ALL, it also unsuspends when you delete a Digimon, rendering it extremely hard to remove on entry. With new cards that offer unique ways to interfere with your opponent’s plans, this deck can frustrate and dismantle even the most well-prepared strategies. If you enjoy a tactical and calculated approach, this deck is for you.
Diaboromon
Check out the Decklist:
Diaboromon remains a fan favorite, and the new cards in BT-17 make this deck even more exciting to play. Doomsday clock adds the first conditional win in the game, where you must race to tuck four of the options onto your board, if you manage to grab and play all of them under a Diaboromon, you win the game! With a focus on token generation and swarming the field, Diaboromon deck can quickly overwhelm opponents. The new support cards add depth and versatility, ensuring Diaboromon remains a top contender in the meta.
