Riftbound Origins has come into the TCG scene swinging! Bringing fans of the video game Leauge of Legends, the awesome Netflix show Arcane, and TCG fans looking for a new twist on the genre. They've hit the ground running with their massively successful first set Origins, players are bracing themselves for another wave of releases! Releasing December 2025 in China and February 2026 in the rest of the world, Spiritforged is sure to shake up the meta with many new interesting cards.

Here are the current products that we know have been announced. Irelia being the main centerpiece, hailing from Ionia it makes sense a set named Spiritforged would feature her as its main character. For those unfamiliar with League of Legends and its universe, Ionia has a rich lore surrounding spirituality and the connection between the living realm and the spirit realm.
Many cards have been confirmed to be included in the set, as Riot Games is already building up hype for the release with their Spoiler Season underway.
We'll be talking about the most impactful cards, the Legends:

Draven, the Glorious Executioner, sporting a red half like his brother Darius. He plays for non-stop fights to maximize his ability. Snowballing off his leads, you can expect him to be playing for those early skirmishes, and as many combat victories as he can. Draven will look to pick off units with his red arsenal, to then sweep in and conquer for draw. Ensuring consistency with his purple tools; Stacked Deck, Ride the Wind, Gust and all the goodies that come in purple.
Cards like Vi and Travelling Merchant will be wonderful on him, allowing him to see as many cards as possible while also ramping his discard for big plays. I expect him to also run Kai’Sa Survivor [when I conquer, draw 1]. Being able to draw 2 from winning combat and conquering on a 4 cost seems very strong. Draven will be a very fast paced deck that will run you over if you don't respect his combat opportunities. I expect a key idea to play around when facing him will be to conquer and then move your units back to base to deny his combat victories, that is if you don't have Charm, Fight or Flight, or some way to deny him combat victory.

Onward to Irelia, Blade Dancer. Very similar to her League of Legends character; Irelia will specialize in fast plays, having built-in acceleration on every unit she selects with an ability or spell. Her ability allows for big single turn plays utilizing the reset on conquer. I can imagine purple mobility cards such as Fight or Flight, Ride the Wind, Tide Turner will be valuable when piloting this legend. Not to mention her access to green which gives her Defy, Charm, En Garde, Discipline, Zhonya’s Hourglass, and some newly introduced Gear-Equipment cards. Irelia will be hard to defend against.Â
Her weakness being the power cost to use her ability. If she does not gain enough of a reward from recycling to ready a unit her rune economy will suffer.

Azir, Emperor of the Sands, comes out using lots of new cards we have not seen yet. Being able to spawn a [2 Might] token units per turn on top of passively giving them the [Weaponsmaster][When you play me, you may [Equip] one of your Equipment to me for 1 rune less, even if it's already attached]. He will be able to pivot between which units of his are equipped with the new Equipment Gears, many of which provide units with +Might, and other strong passive effects.
Azir will be fun for those that want to play with the tokens and control cards like Hidden Blade and Cull the Weak from yellow, with the control spells and beefy units from green like Charm, Defy, Rune Prison, Mystic reversal, Whiteflame Protector, and many more. Azir will be a versatile new legend.

Sivir, Battle Mistress, like Renata Glasc, Sivir will abuse the extra power from her Gold Gear Tokens to play as many powerful cards as she can. Her rune economy will rely on constant units to pick off, as this ability resets with every enemy unit that dies. I'm thinking some strong cards in her deck will be Sabotage, Ride the Wind, Deathbloom Predator, basically every card that is a 1 power cost becomes instantly more viable, and all strong 2 power cost cards weigh less on your rune tempo. Allowing Sivir to keep up while also dishing out powerful plays every turn. Sivir will be riding a fine line every game, having to ensure that with every rune she recycles she is able to maximize. As cards like Acceptable Losses, and Thermo Beam can punish her hard if her Gold Gear Tokens are sitting in base waiting to be used.
Rumble, Mechanized Menace will give many decks headaches when trying to play aroundhis mechs. With many powerful mech cards to come, Rumble will have an arsenal that is beefy and hard to take down. The current mech cards in Origins being Mega Mech [7 energy] [8 might], Dangerous Duo [Legion] [+2 might to a unit], and Scrapyard Champion [Legion] [Discard 2 then draw 2], mech cards have just been waiting patiently to be used. Hopefully archetype decks like Mech - Rumble, that play on the type of unit that is played rather than just whatever is strong, become more common going forward. As more mech cards are revealed we will get a better idea of Rumble’s power level, as right now his legend ability is on the simpler side compared to others.
Fiora, Grand Duelist will be a super fun character to play, with her ability really being a ‘win more’ stat. Whenever your units become mighty [>=5 Might] you may exhaust Fiora and channel a rune exhausted. This could mean that she is able to recover a cost from playing Kinkou Monk for example, or simply be up a rune when playing Pit Rookie. Fiora has a lot of potential with Sett Brawler as he instantly gets a buff when played going from 4 to 5 might and instantly becoming mighty, you negate his power cost completely. Other combos include playing Call to Glory expending a buff you might have given the turn before dropping a unit below the threshold, and then giving them +3 again making them mighty, and cycling Fiora for an extra rune. These sorts of combos will be very strong in this archetype.
Jax, Grandmaster at Arms specializes in pivoting the new Gear Equipment between his units, subverting the power costs to attach Gear Equipment. This allows him to get maximum use out of the gears in play, conquering one battlefield that has an equipped unit and then exhausting Jax to reattach to a unit in base to then use the Gear buff / effect again to conquer the other battlefield. Jax will have an excellent shot at becoming a top tier deck with the tools and units from green and orange, two very solid colors that have already found success in Yi and Sett decks. One thing to watch out for will be gear removal; Acceptable Losses and Thermo Beam, cards that are easy to side board in when facing strong gear decks.
Following Jax we have another gear loving legend, Ornn, Fire Below the Mountain, similar to Jax, Ornn allows the player to add one power to their pool to use on an equipment's cost to play. This allows for cheap equipment to play, whereas Jax’s power lies in his ability to pivot equipment and to tap one rune to attach. Ornn will avoid one power cost on the initial play and will simply pay whatever the cost is to attach the equipment, essentially offsetting any power cost by 1. Different niches when it comes to min maxing your decklists. Ornn likely would prefer his gears remain attached to his big units. Exciting to see what might be possible with equipment and big beefy units like Dr. Mundo, Whiteflame Protector, and Thousand-Tailed Watcher. Ornn will exploit the new equipment gear cards as much as he can!

Rek'Sai, Void Burrower. Have you ever wanted to play cards but hate having to pick from the ones in your hand? Then Rek’Sai is the legend for you, her ability allowing you to play the top 2 cards from your deck whenever you conquer. This can lead into some crazy combos when drawing into cards that give bonuses and special effects when not played from hand. Hopefully Spiritforged reveals cards that synergize with this burrowing void monster.Â

Lucian, Purifier, our last legend revealed in Spiritforged also plays off of equipment, giving any units with equipment [Assault] [+1 while attacking] Lucian will look to play strong combat units that can play off equipment bonuses for extra might while attacking. Units with the trait [Weaponsmasters][When you play me, you may [Equip] one of your Equipment to me for 1 rune less, even if it's already attached] will be excellent under this archetype and will allow Lucian to swing big numbers on offence, stacking buffs from Equipments and his passive [Assault +1].
Again as with all decks that rely on gears, Acceptable Losses and Thermo Beam will both be huge threats to their gameplan.
