Top Shelf Spotlight: Infernal Ascension / EX 06

What’s up Digi-Destined? We’re back at it again for another amazing set of Digimon, I love the Seven Deadly Sins and I’m sure you do too! Our latest set EX 06: Infernal Ascension is revealed! So, grab your deck and let’s battle, while we go over some of the new additions to the card game. 

 

Vaccine / Angels:

Angels are back and better than ever, Seraphimon is getting updated with a blast ace variant that should give vaccine players an explosive edge with security control. Anyone that had a copy of ST- 10 will be happy to know that Mastemon is getting modernized with a brand-new mechanic BLAST DNA (A Digimon that meets a two-level color and level requirement may digivolve for free, uniting the two into one)

 

Demons:

  

            Along with the Seven Deadly Sins, Lucemon Chaos Mode is getting a reprint this set! An absolutely wonderful staple card should bring Mastemon some much needed support for newer players. One of the lesser known Jank tank builds, Dan Devimon is also coming back with light support, so everyone gets some love in the Demons side.

 

Parallel Rare:

 

This set is brimming with Parallel rare variants of cards, each boasting a unique art style and feel that are simply stunning! The innovative style introduced by BT-16 has made a triumphant return, now even better than before. It features Mastemon Ace as its highlight. Creepymon’s illustration style is at its zenith, capturing the essence of the character. Meanwhile, UltimateChaosmon maintains the original alternate aesthetic, yet still manages to be breathtaking.

 

Mastemon Ace [Angels and Demons]:

This deck mixes both the best of Security control of yellow and the recursion of purple, getting all new Gatomon searchers and both Angewomon and Lady Devimon Variants to better pilot the deck. An unexpected change is the ukkomon support in the early game, it just gives you way too much memory to not take it!

Mastemon Ace allows players to counter DNA and return a level 5 or lower from Trash or Hand, but the real power is that it will trash security down to 4 completely shutting down the recovery power of Vaccine Sec-Con!

 

Seven Deadly Sins [Anti - Royal Knights]:

Seven Deadly Sins or better known in NA as the Seven Great Demon Lords is the brand new highlight of the deck, the main hook of this deck is that it's primarily built on MEGAS [LV.6] from trash or hand at a cost reduction thanks to the brand new gates egg. If you successfully pilot the deck to late game, you'll get OTK your opponent with SEVEN GREAT DEMONS.

 

Diaboromon [Unidentified, Puppets]:

This deck is one of the only token decks currently in the game, your goal is to accumulate as many Diaboromon tokens as possible to overwhelm your opponents board, some give blocker [counter timing, suspend a digimon to redirect an attack into itself] or jamming [Digimon can not be deleted by higher DP in secuirty], some get bonus security attacks based of your opponents, but one thing is certain, if you don't manage to blow one up, another will replace it.
