In Woodcraft, dice represent pieces of wood that can be cut, glued together, purchased, grown, and modified to complete customer projects. Every turn, players choose from one of seven available actions, with each action becoming more valuable the longer it remains unchosen. Timing matters, because choosing the right action at the right moment can make the difference between an efficient workshop and wasted resources.

Players must manage tools, helpers, orders, contracts, income, and reputation while carefully shaping their available wood to match each project. The game rewards long-term planning, clever resource management, dice manipulation, and smart sequencing as players build engines and improve their workshops over the course of the game.
